STEM Lesson Accommodation

Research shows an increase in the number of STEM related jobs, however a disproportionate number of these jobs are held by women. This is the STEM gap. After researching methods for bridging this gap, I developed STEM accommodations for 3 egg drop lesson plans by adding a student preface and growth mindset guidelines to engage all learners.This project emphasizes my skills in subject matter familiarity, research, audience awareness, and content development. Technologies used were Google Docs and Google Slides.

STEM Lessons and Slideshow

These lesson plans and accompanying slide show were developed to revise three 5th grade egg drop activities to make them more equitable to girls as science learners.
